What is Paintball?

Imagine yourself.... The game is well underway. You and several other team members have covered more than half the field and still no sight of the other team.

You cautiously make your way through the thick scrub and come to a small clearing. You stop and turn to your team mates to warn them of the dangers of an ambush in a clearing but its too late. Two of them walk through the clearing and are blasted by a barrage of paintballs from the other team. You spot them and send in your own defence package.

A few quick squeezes of the trigger and your paintball gun expels a quick succession of paintballs which burst on impact leaving a paint mark on the opponent responsible for the attack. Shots ring off in the distance. The other team must be close to your flag station which you have left heavily defended. Then another shot rings out and a fluorescent yellow paintball almost skims your face mask. You quickly duck for cover and give a target indication to your team-mates who quickly eliminate the threat. Just then you make a run for it and capture the other teams flag but time is running out and you must get that flag back to your station to win the game.

Suddenly, shots are fired from behind you and you lose one of your key players. In the confusion, your team is split up and under fire from every direction. The referee calls out "only one minute left!" You see a tight gap that you may be able to squeeze through. You still have the flag and a chance to make it back to your flag station.

CAN YOU WIN THE GAME?

Welcome to the exciting sport of paintball. Its the fastest craze sweeping the nation and you can be a part of it. Armed with a CO2 powered pump-action paintgun that shoots paintballs, you hunt you opponents who are equally armed and stop them with a squeeze of the trigger and a splatter of paint. Paintball is a game of strategy with an emphasis on team-work tactics and positioning. Once the adrenalin starts pumping, you cant help but love the thrill of the game.

All the equipment required to play paintball is supplied including an SL-68 II Paintgun, all the CO2 gas required, JT goggles and mask, overalls etc. You simply need to bring yourself and some old clothes and a pair of old boots or runners.

Here is some of the equipment we use: JT goggles and Tippmann SL-68 II paintguns. Games normally involve groups ranging in numbers from a minimum of ten to around twenty five or so. Of course we can cater for more people if given enough notice. Games involve a group of people coming out to the field and playing a series of games including capture the flag and sniper. "Medic games" are also a real hit with players.
